Peter Young, DDS, FAGD
Dr. Peter Young strongly believes in developing a partnership with you in order to meet your long-term goals in achieving optimal dental health and appearance. Providing the highest quality comprehensive dental care in an ethical, conservative fashion is his number one priority. He also works closely with a team of well-qualified specialists in providing multi-disciplinary dental care.
He received the designation of FAGD, a "Fellow", from the Academy of General Dentistry. This means Dr. Young has been recognized by his peers as a leader and an example to other dentists in the importance of quality continuing dental education to patient care.
Dr. Young earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California. In 1988, he earned his Doctoral degree in Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University with Honors. Dr. Young is an Associate Fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute and an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Young feels that continual learning is vitally important to keep pace with the latest developments in dentistry. In fact, he attends an average of 150 to 200 hours of advanced seminars given by many world-renowned dental experts. Since 1988 he has completed over 2800 hours of continuing education seminars. These seminars include subjects such as implants, cosmetics and laser dentistry. Recently, in recognition to his dedication to continued education, Dr. Young was invited to be on the prestigious TOP 3 Dentists website. Top 3 Dentists identifies doctors who keep current with continuing education and with exceptional qualifications.
Dr. Young is a lifetime member and is certified by the United States Dental Institute in Orthodontics since 2002. He also holds a membership in the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and is a certified member of the Crown Council (an alliance of dentists that have a passion for continued self-improvement). He is a graduate and mentor at the Kois Center (one of the most highly regarded training centers for advanced dentistry in the world) and tract to becoming a mentor.
Educating others is also one of Dr. Young's passions. He has been an Assistant Professor of Restorative Dentistry in the School of Dentistry in Loma Linda University since 1998.
