For over 30 years, Dr. Andrew B. Burke has been taking care of people of all ages from newborns to senior citizens. Born in Louisiana, his family moved to Kansas and he completed high school. He went to college. After graduating from the University of Kansas, he was accepted into the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduating with his D.O., he moved to Dallas with his wife and baby daughter. He designed his clinic at 1717 North Garrett Avenue and has been taking appointments and walk-ins since he opened the doors. Change always happens when we least expect it. His daughter grew up, got married, had a little boy and then spontaneous triplet girls. Dr. Burke definitely stays busy! He loves Grandchild sitting!
Through the years he has been President of the District V, Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, President and Chairman of the Board of Mesquite Independent Physician's Association, Who's Who in Texas and Associate Clinical Professor for the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, the University of North Texas and Texas University of Health Sciences, plus he has received many other prestigious awards and career-related activities. You can see them, they are framed and hung on the walls of his clinic. if you need to go to a hospital, he's on staff at Baylor University Medical Center.
In his free time, Dr. Burke spends time on his boat, playing with his grandchildren, watches movies and he loves to read. He exercises every morning and recommends it to everyone, however his focus and his passion are his patients and his practice. Dr. Burke says that it's great to wake up every morning to go to a job that you love and be around people that you really like...and it shows.
I have been seeing Dr Burke for over 10 years. He is very attentive and caring to his patients. He is aggressive with his treatments desiring the best outcome for his patients.
The office staff and PA's are outstanding.
I like the P.A's more than Dr.Burke himself but he is a good Dr and I get the help I need like referrals to specialist when needed pretty quickly better than my last Dr. Walk-ins are welcome if you do a walk in wait till 2pm to get there not as long of a wait, I have done the get there when they open thing thinking it would not be so bad well we waited there all day till almost 5pm so now I don't get there till 2-2:30 and usually seen by 4pm. (they take walk-ins up in till 3pm)
