Wonderful physician who listens well

Dr. Hansen is so knowledgable and really works hard to find the right solution to my problems. She is genuinely interested in how I'm doing—physically and personally! It's really great to have a doctor who will sit down at a desk with you, and do all the exam work herself!

Dr. Hansen saw me almost immediately on Saturday morning despite the fact that I showed up five minutes late. She was kind, professional, and efficient. Highly recommended!

Dr. Hansen is a very professional, straight-forward, and caring practitioner. I felt comfortable with her medical expertise and we quickly developed a rapport. If you're looking for a gen prac or PCP I highly recommend her.

The wait was long, but I really liked Dr. Hansen - she was professional and knowledgeable. I really don't fault her the wait time, as it seemed like there were extenuating circumstances - make your appointment before 5, that might help!

Dr. Hansen is the kind of doctor is thoughtful, thourough, never rushed, interested in what her patients think and feel, looks you straight in the eye and addresses all of your concerns. She makes you feel like her only patient and I'd recommend her without hesitation.

Dr. Hansen has a great "bedside manner." She listened, was responsive to my concerns, and spent as much time with me as I needed. She's great and I'll definitely be going to her for my primary care.

Very thorough and professional

It was apparent I was dealing with a specialist. She is clearly highly experienced in her area of expertise. I had a very comfortable and informative, and reassuring experience and what's more she was open on Saturday morning at 8:30. The office itself may leave a bit to be desired but this is one of those old school, as they say, doctors who is most concerned about the patient and the cure. I suppose she leave the office to others. Not bad at all for a first time and with very short notice. I would recommend for the specialty for sure.

Dr. Hansen was ready to see me as soon as I arrived. She took me to her office to discuss my concerns before anything else. She was approachable and personable and I definitely plan to go back any time I am in need of a doctor!

Great visit. I'll be coming back. Need to communicate that lab work is not available after a certain time for late appointments. If ZocDoc can't include it, perhaps via an appointment follow up for anything that books after that time.

Dr. Hansen is WONDERFUL. She is very friendly and takes time to find out what the problem is. She is great at explaining things and always makes sure you understand, agree, and feel comfortable with her diagnosis. I've seen her twice and she is now my general practitioner.

This was my first visit with Dr. Hansen, and I'd recommend her to anyone. She took my history herself, in her office before the exam, and asked thorough questions. She's incredibly personable, and during the exam she continued chatting, so that I felt totally at ease. She's highly professional and thorough, but still makes the visit unintimidating and easy. I'll be going back to her regularly, and I'm not one to typically go to any doctor regularly.

Dr. Hansen is very attentive. I felt extremely comfortable to ask any questions and she answered them thoroughly and kindly. I felt like I was in good hands.

I saw Dr. Hansen yesterday about an ongoing condition I've been suffering from. Every other doctor I've seen gets stumped and tells me they just don't know what's wrong and leaves it at that. Dr. Hansen actually took the time to fully understand my symptoms and proved she was dedicated to finding answers, gave me many options for treatment, and made sure I was not suffering from pain in the meantime. I will definitely be going to her from now on, so happy that I found a doctor that actually cares!

Dr. Hansen was very helpful in answering questions and providing me with a thorough and informative physical. She had excellent referrals for other doctors, including a dermatologist. As someone who has only lived in D.C. for approximately 6 months, these recommendations were truly helpful. I will absolutely continue to see Dr. Hansen and will not dread going to appointments as is oftentimes true of women's physicals!

I was early for my appointment. as I am a new patient, and expected to wait until the actual allotted time to be seen. Dr. Hansen finished with another patient and was able to see me right away before the appointed time. She did a thorough interview of my medical and family history, more than just the typical check list I am used to seeing. We spoke about medical options and innovations that could be considered for my future care. I would recommend Dr. Hansen as she is a professional that knows her craft and is able to speak in layman’s terms. She is willing to consider all options before recommending a path.

Dr. Hansen is awesome! She has Saturday appointments which are great for busy professionals. She also made me feel extremely comfortable throughout my appointment. I highly recommend her!

First visit was great, she took the time to sit down and talk with me about why I was there and asked about my medical and family history as though we were having a conversation, not by reading it off a 300 question survey. It's comforting to have a doctor with whom you can discuss your problems and possible treatments instead of having it dictated to you off a prescription pad.

I've seen Dr. Hansen a few times, and while she's thorough and knowledgeable, I always sort of get the feeling that she thinks I'm being overly dramatic. Also, after she posted my lab results, it was over a week before she also sent a message explaining what the results meant.

Dr Hansen and her staff were amazing! First time ever that a physician actually took my medical history instead of me just ticking off boxes on a sheet. I felt very comfortable with her and I was able to get everthing done at on one day because there is a radiology center right down the hall and a pharmacy in the building. Dr. Hansen was very thorough and professional and knowledgeable.

Doctor Hansen is wonderful, though she is very busy and it is hard to get in to see her when you are sick.

The doctor is wonderful. Her staff, not so much. I NEVER get a live person on the phone when I call. I called while I was in the waiting room and got the voicemail while the receptionist was sitting there. She was not on the phone. It is very frustrating and I am considering changing doctors for that reason. This week, I was very ill and unable to get any response from the office at all. ZocDoc is how I was able to get in, but it wasn't until the next day. As I sat in the waiting room, one staffer told another not to worry about answering the phone; "They'll call back." Well, maybe not.

Great doctor who actually listens and cares!

I really liked Dr. Hansen, and she was very opening to hearing about what was wrong with me, and listened without making me feel patronized. She also followed up with me a week later with my test results.It was a welcome change from other doctors I've had.

Dr. Darcy Hansen is one of the finest and most caring medical professionals I have had the privilege of working with. I was treated with the utmost respect by here staff and was given all the time necessary by Dr. Hansen to fulfill my needs and get to the bottom of my medical problems. She is warm, caring, respectful, and trusting while trustworthy. I have worked with and seen many doctors and I can say, without a sliver of doubt, that choosing Dr. Hansen as your Primary Care Provider is choosing to have your health care needs in the best of hands.

Dr. Hansen is nice, engaging, interested and puts you immediately at ease. Some on her staff appear to be extremely disoriented and confused about proper procedure.

She is nice, personable, and supportive. She is focused on you and assumes you share a level of knowlege that's just as important as her professional training. I typically find doctors to be condescending, but Dr. Hansen was the opposite. She dealt with me like I was a person and not a patient.

Great experience with Dr. Hansen! I liked that she tried to get a better understand of my medical history (instead of having me fill out a long form) and that she inquired about my reasons for visiting her. I felt she listened and did a through job taking my vitals. I've lived in DC for 7 years and she's the first good doctor that I've encountered.

I can not recommend Dr. Hansen highly enough. I was looking for a doctor to get an annual physical when a friend recommended Dr. Hansen. Prior to the examination she took the time to discuss my history and current concerns regarding my health. She answered my questions in detail and gave her medical opinion but provided many options.

Great personality and excellent rapport with patients. They had just fired a bunch of their admin staff that apparently was causing problems in the past, but seemed to have everything under control. I was in and out for my first visit in 40 minutes.

My first experience with Dr. Hansen exceeded my expectations. I moved to DC a year ago, and hadn't yet seen a primary care doctor. She was warm, personable, professional, and spent a good deal of time with me on what appeared to be a hectic day. I strongly recommend.

Quite good. Very friendly. First visit, took me into her office where we chatted about who I was, what I was looking for, and how she worked. Then a quick checkup, wrote a prescription or two, and I was off. No wait, no hassle. However, there wasn't any help staff (receptionist or anything like that), but there weren't any other patients either, so not a big deal. Also not a high tech operation, but I haven't heard of any in the district (let alone a really conveniently placed one like this) that have really heavy/advanced IT.

Dr Hansen is hands-down the best doctor I've ever seen in the DC area. There was no wait, she diagnosed me quickly and professionally, but on top of that she was friendly, took her time to talk to me, and made me feel like I was really in good hands. I would definitely recommend Dr Hansen to anyone.

I signed up for a physical and when I got to the office I didn't have to wait at all to see Dr. Hansen. She was kind, warm and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Hansen's receptionist and nurse were very nice, which is great because that's not always the case with doctors and the area. This was my first visit with Dr. Hansen, but from what I can tell, she is capable, thorough and polite. I would recommend her to others.

I usually really hate seeing the doctor, but Dr. Hansen was easy to talk to. She takes the time to talk to patients outside of the exam room, so you can express your health concerns in a more comfortable setting. I've never found it easy to have a real conversation while wearing a paper robe in a drafty room, so I really appreciate the time the doctor takes to get to know you and your family history prior to conducting the exam. If you are looking for a competent, friendly doctor and staff, this is the office for you.
