After receiving his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Berkley and New Mexico State, Dr. Ortiz served in the U.S. Coast Guard for four years and in the U.S. Peace Corps for three. He then received his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.

I actually saw a different doctor. Dr. Kovalik, who was a N.M.D. I enjoyed meeting with her, she was very imformative and listened well. The wait was very long, but the office is also a walk-in clinic and there were many sick children there so I was ok with waiting. If I ever needed to go to take time off work during the day I wouldn't be so forgiving.
