Dr. Smiddy is originally from east Tennessee. He got his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Virginia. He then earned his Medical Degree at The University of Tennessee in 1993. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine in Boston, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia to start his own practice. Since 1996 Dr. Smiddy has had a successful practice in Internal Medicine and HIV. He currently has privileges at Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta Medical Center and Crawford Long Hospital. He was recognized in 2004 as one of Atlanta’s Top Physicians by Southern Voice Magazine. Dr. Smiddy actively participates in monthly continuing educational programs and regional meetings.

My girlfriend and I woke up today and decided 6 weeks of being sick was enough, we looked up doctors on ZocDoc and found Dr. Smiddy honored both of our insurance policies. We went back and were seen together, everyone was nice and Dr. Smiddy had a great disposition, he was very inquisitive and thorough for both of us and we felt confident in the service he provided. It took a while for our first visit as new patients, but overall we would definitely recommend and can confidantes say we've found our primary care doctor. Great reviews for this practice. :)
