Dr. Judy Brasier, DO, comes to Visions with a specialty in Sports Medicine and a goal of helping people stay as active as they want to be. While attending the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, Judy shadowed a primary care physician who specialized in Osteopathic Sports Medicine. Judy was inspired to pursue sports medicine as her own specialty as a result of witnessing the drastic improvement in both vitality and quality of life for each patient treated. She pursued this goal by enrolling in a fellowship in sports medicine at Nova Southeastern University. After completing her fellowship, Judy began practicing at the Marino Center for Integrative Health in Wellesley, MA. It is there that she began her career as a practitioner of Sports Medicine. As a Doctor of Osteopathy, utilizing her background in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) became an integral part of her treatments.
Judy’s talents and interests allow her to successfully treat a broad range of injuries. She takes particular pleasure in working with high school and college-aged athletes. She has worked with professional, collegiate, high school and recreational athletes throughout her career and loves working with them to help them return to and improve their game. In her own life, trips to New Hampshire and Maine are a regular occurrence for her family in an effort to spend time together and get out into nature. Judy is excited to bring her practice to Visions, where she finds a group of practitioners working together to create the best picture of health for each patient.
It took me a while to get used to Judy's personality, but she knows her stuff and has been helpful.
My entire experience was just lovely. :)
