Lisa C. Fishman MD graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brandeis University with High Honors in Philosophy. She received her medical degree from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and was a member of the inaugural class of Humanities and Medicine Students. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital. After completing her training she worked as an assistant attending at Cornell Internal Medicine Associates. As an Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center she was actively involved in resident education. She was also the Medical Director of the Cornell University-Weill Medical College Physician Assistants Program. In 2002, she completed a Certificate Program in Bioethics and Medical Humanities at NYU.
Dr. Fishman is currently part of the Voluntary Faculty at Mt. Sinai Hospital and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine in the MSSM Department of Medicine and teaches medical students in their third year medicine clerkship.
