I am a critical care nurse and felt the doctor was speaking to me as a partner in helping me manage chronic conditions. As we spoke he looked points up on the internet and talked about lectures he attended relevant to my health issues, this was a very pleasant surprise as some doctors in private practice don't keep up to date as do their university counterparts.
