Dr. Stanley Lugerner MD

I signed up for my appointment 12 hours before I was seen. The process was simple and quick! The staff members were all friendly and went the extra mile. Dr. Lugerner was both professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend him!

Dr Lugerner is good. Very professional and thorough. Explained things well. My only gripe is the wait time. Waited about an hour. That was pretty painful.

Is my first meeting with Dr. Lugener, I have not idea what good can be?

I am a physician myself, so it's hard for me to defer to another physician but Dr. Lugerner was excellent, efficient and thorough. I felt he addressed all of my concerns as well as other things I had not anticipated. I highly recommend him. You will not feel rushed in the least bit. The office is a little dingy, and they still use paper charts, so lab results will likely not be able to be accessed via the internet, however, nonetheless, his experience in the field and expertise are worth it.

Dr. Lugerner was great, did not rush the apt at all, and made sure to fully explain everything. He answered all of my questions and was very nice. The only downside was the long wait time, but I would wait again because he was a great Doctor.

I've been here once now for an annual physical. He seemed knowledgeable, wasn't in a rush, didn't do or recommend anything unnecessary. Asked questions, listened to what I said. At my last physical another doc saw me for 3 minutes and wrapped up by sending me down the hall for a standard blood test (that's why I ended up here looking for a new doc). This doc was way more interested in my overall health. I'll come back.

I thought Dr. Lugerner was excellent. He took his time, was very helpful and informative. I also thought the staff at the front desk was adequate. They're not super-friendly but they get the job done.

Contrary to reports that I read prior to booking an appointment, I found Dr. Lugerner engaging and interested in me as a new patient.

He asked me a lot of questions and listened pretty well. He wanted to be sure I told him all of my symptoms. It was great, highly recomended

Though had correct info on my forms, still send bill to wrong address causing me late fine. Front desk attendant very rude. The quality of his bedside manner is the reason for his empty waiting room. His diagnoses were over rehearsed and generic. His refused to consider alternative methods of treatment and clearly was pushing brand-name medications though generics were readily available and covered by my insurance. His follow up consultations were overtly underenthusiastic. I felt like I was being judged as a person and not treated as a patient.

Great experience. He was straight forward and knowledgable. Only downside -- my appt was 8 mins late. Oh well!

Not only did I like Dr Lugerner, but the staff was excellent. And the phlebotomist was outstanding!

Office staff were unfriendly and condescending (e.g. No greeting, terse directions to fill out paperwork, complaints about not having enough vacation, etc.). First visit with Dr. Lugerner wasn't much better either. Visit felt rushed and Dr. Lugerner appeared to be going through the motions with limited conversation. Subsequent interactions were a little better but the overall experience was below average.

He seemed to be a bit overscheduled the day I was there and was slightly brisk, but was very competent and professional. The office is very organized and efficient.

He took time to listen to my main concerns and medical history, and offered me relevant medical advice and recommendations. It was the first office visit since I am a new patient.

Dr. Lugerner was absolutely phenomenal. I hadn't been to a Dr. in quite some time and had some serious unresolved health issues, so I was quite nervous. However, within minutes, Dr. Lugerner made me feel confident in his abilities and my prospects for better health. His genuine concern was also evident and much appreciated.

Friendly, thorough, and patient with questions

Dr. Lugerner is straight to the point which I appreciate (being a fellow New Yorker) and personally followed up promptly by phone on my bloodwork a few days later. Only minus was the very long wait around an hour) to see him after my scheduled appointment time had already passed.

The doctor is wonderful, but his staff, not so much. My ZocDoc appointment was confirmed and then immediately rescheduled by the office.This is actually the second tims this has happened with this office. Once I got there, I had to wait almost an hour before he saw me. Once there, he was great. Very professional and took good care of me. The professionalism of office leaves something to be desired, unfortunately.

Very nice, attentive, and thoughtful doctor. Gave consideration to the course of treatment that would be most convenient, which was very helpful given that some of the treatment options (i.e. seeing a specialist) likely would have taken a long time to schedule.

Very straightforward doctor - got in, got out. I just wish they had a lab onsite instead of having to go to LabCorp.

I was referred to a radiologist for an x-ray for my ribs and never received a follow-up call regarding the results of the x-ray

He was very friendly and obviously was trying hard to create a long-standing relationship with me which I appreciated.

First meeting. Much friendlier in person. The pic is a bit severe. I am also faulted for not smiling in photos even though I think I am smiling. Seems common sense.

I thought that he did a fine job. I could see how some might be rubbed the wrong way by his bedside manner, but it works for me as he is concise and to the point. I am busy person and don't require any coddling. I was a bit surprised by the waiting area. It could use a serious update and upgrade considering its location.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Lugerner. I have been living in DC for over 6 years and this is the best experience I've had in a General Practice.

The visit went very well -- Dr. Lugerner was friendly. This was only my annual check-up, so I did not require any medical attention, but the visit went well and the Dr. was able to fit me in for a check-up the same week I booked.

Dr. Lugerner seemed like an intelligent doctor, and his bedside manner was fine. I did feel like the visit was a bit rushed. I was there for a routine physical and I did not think that it was terribly thorough. I did not go to him with any specific problems so I don't have any insight into how it would be to deal with him in those circumstances.

After searching for so many years, I think I finally found a primary physician. Dr. Lugerner was very attentive, he took his time to listen to me and to address all my questions. The wait was very short in the waiting room as well as in the exam room.

He was very friendly and easy-going. I also admired his willingness to teach a student/intern in his office (having been an intern before, myself).

Very impressed by this doctor. He did a great job asking about my history and was very direct and clear with his diagnosis.

He seemed rushed, and didn't spend as much time listening to my concerns as I would have liked.
