Sylvia R. Medley, MD was Chief Resident of Preventive Medicine at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD where she completed her residency in Preventive Health, and received a Masters in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University.


Optimal Preventive Medicine, PLLC, is solely owned and operated by a board certified Internal Medicine physician who focuses on the practices of Bariatrics and Preventive Medicine. Our goal is to operate with the highest standards of medical health care. With over 25 years of experience, we operate under the philosophy that, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”.

Unlike most practices and clinics we firmly believe in a holistic approach to medicine with a focus on the individual. We take the time to properly evaluate and manage each person and make sure to listen attentively to your concerns.
